Derwentside Homes

Representatives from Derwentside Homes have already worked with pupils on issues surrounding anti-social behaviour. This term, staff will come in to school to work with pupils in key Stage 2. They will carry out activities and games to raise awareness of financial issues, running a household, costs involved in running a home. The children will also explore the difference between needs and wants! This should help children to understand the financial pressures on grown ups, especially in the current economic climate. Representatives from Barclays bank will also attend.
