Class 3 handing out Mission Friendship Bracelets to parishioners before our Mission Mass
Our Infant Liturgy
Pupils in Class 1 prepared a beautiful Liturgy on the theme of Unbroken. They shared their prayers and songs with parents and pupils.
We’re on a Mission!
Day one of our Mission with Pontop Partnership started with an opening liturgy. We lit our Mission Candle and heard the story of the Prodigal Son. We all received our new Mission T-shirts.
Our Polish Day
We celebrated a Polish Theme Day. We found out about Polish Christmas traditions, Polish Art, food and famous people.
Our Polish children and their families helped us by making us special food and reading to us in Polish. Our parents came at the end of the day to see what we had been learning about. Fun was had by all!
Remembrance Sunday
The pupils of St Pius painted remembrance pebbles and laid them at the Cenotaph at Consett. Please take a look at our slideshow:

The Rotary Club Award Presentation 2015
On 29th June 2015 Mrs Bennett from Consett Rotary Club presented our Mini Vinnies with The Rotary Club Award. They were given the award for all of their hard work and commitment and have raised money for different charites by doing fundraisers.
In January they raised £55.62 to help the children in Syria. All the children in school took a raisin box home so that they could share raisins with family and friends. They then filled the empty box with money.
In March they had a toy sale and raised £88.85 for CADFOD.
At Easter they made Easter cards for the elderly people in the community and in May they had a cake sale for the victims of the earthquake in Nepal and raised £55.60.
Excellent work Mini Vinnies!!
Our Mission Statement sculpture
Our sculpture, designed by pupils and brought to life by the very talented James Anderson, now takes pride of place in the school entrance.
