Class 1 Pirate Day
On Friday 23rd June we had a very special visitor to Class 1…Captain Raggybeard! We were all very excited and dressed up as pirates for the day. Everyone in school was very scared of us! Captain Raggybeard told us all about his adventures and we loved hearing about his friends the mermaids.
He even gave us each a mermaid tear. We heard stories about real pirates and a dragon which breathed fire. Everyone had to walk the plank and Captain Crilly was made to walk the plank backwards. We sang sea shanties and Captain Raggybeard wanted us all to join his crew!! Ahoy me hearties!
